Mr. Taylor became Chief Executive Officer of Oakhurst Medical Centers in November 2005 after serving as Interim CEO for six months. He has positioned Oakhurst as a leader in its field, both locally and nationally. He joined Oakhurst from Southside Medical Center where he served as Chief Financial Officer for five years. With over 12 years of healthcare experience, Mr. Taylor has helped navigate community health centers through difficult challenges that include Medicaid managed care and a shift to higher quality of requirements. Mr. Taylor has 25 years of combined experience in finance and operations in the healthcare, public accounting and manufacturing industries. He received his Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting from Georgia State University and he is a licensed certified public accountant.
Raulniña Uzzle, MD is the Chief Medical Officer of Oakhurst Medical Centers, a community health center located in Stone Mountain, Georgia. She has had the honor and the privilege of working at Oakhurst since September 2000. Her primary responsibilities include providing and coordinating patient care as well as managing the six operational sites of Oakhurst. She completed her undergraduate studies at Furman University and obtained her Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of South Florida College of Medicine. Her residency training was completed at Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama and Atlanta Medical Center in Atlanta, Georgia. She is a Board Certified Family Medicine physician and holds memberships with the American Academy of Family Physician, the Georgia Academy of Family Physicians and the American College of Physician Executives. Dr. Uzzle has completed advanced healthcare management and leadership training at the Harvard University School of Public Health and George Washington University School of Public Health.
Charmaine Beckford-Willis was appointed Director of Nursing at Oakhurst Medical Centers in December 2014. Prior to this appointment, she served as Oakhurst’s Nurse Manager/Healthcare Coordinator. Mrs. Willis has over 20 years of nursing experience which include inpatient and ambulatory care staff nurse, oncology nurse and hospice case manager. Mrs. Willis earned her Nursing Degree from Helene Fuld College of Nursing New York, NY. She enjoys volunteering as a medical missionary and serves as one of the key coordinator of the annual medical missions.
Clayton Knox became Chief Financial Officer of Oakhurst Medical Centers in January 2015. Prior to joining Oakhurst, Mr. Knox was a Senior Audit Manager with Metcalf Davis, an Atlanta based certified public accounting firm. During his time with Metcalf Davis, Mr. Knox spent 100 percent of his time serving not-for-profit and governmental entities with a specific focus on healthcare related entities. Clayton spent the first three years of his career with the state of Georgia Department of Audits and Accounts where he performed audits of state agencies and local boards or education. Clayton’s 14 years of combined experience in the not-for-profit and governmental industries has allowed him to develop a deep understanding of the unique issues these entities face. This understanding includes internal and external financial statement reporting, federal and state grant compliance, internal control, budgeting, financial and variance analysis and evaluating and supervising staff. Mr. Knox earned his Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting from Georgia College and State University and he is a licensed Certified Public Accountant.
Samuel Donwell became Director of Operations for Oakhurst Medical Centers in August 2016. Samuel received his Bachelors of Science in Accounting from DeVry University and his Master of Business Administration from Keller Graduate School of Mgmt. Prior to joining Oakhurst, Mr. Donwell was a Senior Financial Analyst with Emory Healthcare. During his 18yrs at Emory, Mr. Donwell spent his beginning years as a Material Handler at Emory Midtown aka Crawford Long Hospital. The last 12 years he spent time between Emory Midtown Finance and Emory Clinic Finance departments. Samuel is experienced in Financial and Operational Planning. Samuel also spent 6 yrs serving on Oakhurst Medical Center Board and as Finance Chair of the Board.
Larion M. Williams became the Director of Fundraising and Development for Oakhurst Medical Centers, Inc. in June 2017. He has more than 15 years of experience in development and fundraising for higher education and non-profit organizations. Prior to joining Oakhurst, he served as a senior associate for Silver and Associates, a consulting firm primarily serving the global education market. Prior to that, he served from 2002-2016, as the chief fundraising officer and executive director for the affiliated foundations for two University System of Georgia Institutions. Before making the move to fundraising, Larion served as a vice president and financial specialist for Wachovia, now Wells Fargo.
A graduate of Savannah State University, Williams earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and Management and a Master of Business Administration. In addition, he holds a Certificate in Fund Raising Management from The Fund Raising School at Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. He has also earned a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) designation from CFRE International, the first globally recognized credential for fundraising professionals.
